There’s something magical about making Christmas wreaths in the garden. It’s not just a craft, it was a moment of using what nature offers and turning it into something beautiful and meaningful.
Surrounded by the scent of fresh greenery, we gathered sprigs of rosemary, eucalyptus and wild olive branches and whatever the season has been generous enough to provide. Making décor we all wanted to display in our homes for the festive season felt like connecting with each other in the spirit of the season.
Each wreath became its own story. Some are full and wild, others neat and simple. Some beads here, ribbon saved from last year and string tucked in there. Nothing needed to be perfect.
What made it even more special was doing it together. Christmas carols in the background, sharing ideas, laughter and some nibbles white creating. It became less about the wreath hanging on the door and more about the memory of making it.
In a world that often feels rushed, wreath-making in the garden reminded us to pause. To use what we have and to create with intention. And to carry a little piece of the garden into our homes.
